CLARA, the Cognitive Learning Artificial REALTOR® Assistant, is an AI-powered virtual assistant designed to provide precise and reliable answers. While she is built using the same underlying Large Language Model (LLM) technology as ChatGPT, there are key distinctions in how the two systems operate.
General-purpose AI tools like ChatGPT generate responses based primarily on patterns learned during training. This approach enables them to address a wide variety of questions but can also lead to inaccuracies or outdated information because they do not verify answers against external sources in real time.
CLARA, in contrast, integrates an LLM with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). When a question is posed, she first searches FVREB Connect to identify the most relevant documents and then generates a response based on those sources. This method ensures that answers are grounded in authoritative information and can include references to the original sources, enhancing both transparency and reliability.
By combining the natural language capabilities of an LLM with the real-time retrieval of RAG, CLARA is engineered to deliver accurate, verifiable, and contextually informed responses, reflecting a considered and professional approach to AI-powered assistance.
While CLARA’s capabilities are impressive, she is still in beta mode, which means that we are constantly refining and augmenting retrieval functionalities.
