On Monday, July 31, the mapping system on REALTOR.ca will transition from using Bing Maps to Google Maps in an effort to provide the best mapping and property search experience possible.
How will this impact you and your clients?
First, you’ll notice enhanced performance and increased map accuracy when searching for properties and managing listings. Google Maps will take the REALTOR.ca map search to the next level with a more up-to-date mapping experience that makes it easier for visitors to navigate between areas and listings and ultimately generate more leads for your business.
On top of that, Google Maps will add an increased level of engagement to searching real estate with the addition of Google Street View, which allows visitors to take a closer look at the outside of the property and surrounding area.
Tips to make your transition as smooth as possible:
The Board’s IT Department recommends taking a few steps to ensure your listings will make it through the switch without issue:
1. Go through and verify that your new listings are showing up properly on Paragon’s mapping system and the current REALTOR.ca mapping system.
2. If your listing isn’t correct, you can update the pin on Paragon and the new coordinates will be reflected on REALTOR.ca within 24 hours. To do that, follow the instructions here on REALTOR Link®.
