Today, CREA announced to all Boards across Canada that they will be moving to a new service provider for CREA WEBForms® and will be transitioning to the new product over the next 12 months.
This news is of particular interest, as the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board originally developed WEBForms for our members in 1999. After interest picked up from other Boards, we sold WEBForms to CREA in 2001 so that WEBForms could benefit members across the country.
Many of you know that the CREA WEBForms® development team still works from our offices in the Fraser Valley, with CREA providing the infrastructure, support and product oversight. So, the move to a new platform is sad news for us as our local team will close down work on the legacy version of CREA WEBForms® by the end of 2019.
“Our local CREA WEBForms® team has been dedicated to delivering a first-class product for REALTORS® for over 18 years,” says David Pedersen, FVREB’s Manager, Information Technologies. “We’re extremely proud of their efforts.”
In their announcement, CREA shared their appreciation for the efforts of our talented local team, who have delivered a trusted, quality platform in a competitive landscape.
The new CREA WEBForms® will be powered by the leading transaction management platform TransactionDesk®, by Lone Wolf Technologies. According to their announcement to Boards, the new CREA WEBForms® will make it easier to manage deals from offer to close, including:
- unlimited TransactionDesk® storage for signed and third-party documents, task management, checklists and more;
- freedom of choice with regards to leading digital signature, document management, and transaction management add-on applications; and,
- integration with REALTOR® Load (ADT).
This will be a significant transition for members and we are committed to working with CREA to ensure things go smoothly and that you have access to the training and support you need. We’ll share more news as it becomes available.
“It’s impressive to realize that our local team of eight, working here in the Fraser Valley, has kept pace with high-tech organizations with over 300 staff,” says Baldev Gill, CEO. “At the same time, we look forward to the new CREA WEBForms® and the comprehensive transaction solution it will offer our members.”
As well, we’d like to acknowledge the innovative spirit, commitment and support of our Board of Directors, staff and members, who have embraced our local CREA WEBForms® team over the years.
