3-2-1… Countdown to the new and improved Residential Data Input Form on July 12

It’s almost here! On the evening of Tuesday, July 12, a new Residential Data Input Form (DIF) will be released which will include many updates requested by members of the Fraser Valley, BC Northern, Chilliwack & District, and Greater Vancouver real estate boards. These changes will add valuable new data to draw upon and enhance our Paragon property reports. Read on for new details on what you can expect as we make the transition.

Changes to the DIF and reports, as well as edits which may be required to Saved Searches, were communicated to members in the month of June in NewsReal:

New information to be aware of as we approach July 12:

1. There will be no Paragon “downtime” as we implement the enhancements. The process will begin at 6 pm on Monday, July 12. The changes are expected to be completed by the early morning of July 13. During this time, Paragon will be available for your use. However, you may notice some inconsistencies in the reports until the transition has been completed.

2. The “Upload Listing” feature in WEBForms will be unavailable while Paragon is being updated, from 6 pm, July 12 until approximately 9 am, July 13.

3. Members editing existing listings in Paragon may receive a prompt, prior to saving their changes, to complete fields which are new and required once the transition has been completed. Reminder: Once the changes are completed, you will have an additional 200 characters (500 characters in total, up from 300 characters) to use in the Realtor Remarks of your listings.

4. You will have new two-page report options. While you won’t be obligated to use the two-page reports – the default reports remain the familiar one-page versions – you are highly encouraged to consider using the new two-page reports to showcase the additional information you can share with clients.

5. Members with Saved Searches containing the “Driveway Finish,” or “Foundation” fields will need to edit those searches. Note: This ONLY affects Saved Searches containing these two fields. For information on how to edit your Saved Searches, click here.

6. Broker Load offices – Brokers, to ensure your administrative staff who post and edit listings are aware of these changes, please provide them with this link.

We hope that your clients will see the value of the additional information that will become available in the updated Residential Data Input Form.
