New holiday closure schedule at FVREB

Starting this year, the Board office building will be closed to members and the public between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The building closure is effective: 12 noon, December 24 through to 8 am January 2, 2020.

As usual, a reduced complement of staff will continue to provide essential member services in key departments (see list below); however, the Board’s front door will be locked; and the switchboard will be on voicemail.

The following essential services will be available:

  • December 27 – 8 am to 4:30 pm
  • December 30 – 8 am to 4:30 pm
  • December 31 – until 12 noon 
Information Technology (IT) / Helpdesk To assist with the final transition to CREA WEBForms® 2019 and the end of WEBForms® Legacy, an FVREB Helpdesk staff member will be available at Helpdesk and (604) 930-7626.
 MLS® The MLS® manager and two staff members will process sales for year-end.
  • All firm sales reported to the board prior to the noon cut-off on December 31st will be processed and included in this year’s Medallion.
  • Any firm sales submitted to the board after the noon cut-off will be processed in January and included in Medallion 2020.
  • No listings will be processed, and lockbox services or other MLS® services will be not be available.
  •  Accounting  Accounting staff will not be in the office.
  • Brokers can make payments and download invoices at any time during the holidays via the member portal.
  • Please contact Helpdesk if you require any technical assistance with your member portal account.
  • For payments by cheque, Monday, December 23 will be the last courier pick-up prior to month-end.
  • Education & Membership Two staff members will be in the office updating license renewals and PDP compliance. Education will accept direct calls to (604) 930-7644.
    Mail and Courier services Dan Foss will pick up mail from the Board office on Friday, December 20 and drop-off/pick-up Monday, December 23.
    After the holidays, the next courier drop-off/pick-up from offices will be Monday, January 6, 2020. Canada Post mail will be held during the holiday closure.
