More local context added to REALTOR.ca listings

CREA has added some new local context to listings on REALTOR.ca as of April 27, 2017.

New “Neighbourhood” tab:

A new “Neighbourhood” tab was added to all residential and commercial listings on REALTOR.ca. This tab is the new home of the popular demographic information, Walk Score® and Transit Score (when available).

The big change to this new tab is the addition of a new map, which now indicates the defined area for that listing’s demographic data.

New “Lifestyle” tab pilot:

CREA has launched a new pilot project with REALTOR.ca and neighbourhood data mining experts, HoodQ.com. This project is initially rolling out as a pilot in Vancouver, BC and Halifax, NS.

Listings in those two cities have a new “Lifestyle” tab. Clicking on the tab provides a detailed report on various features and benefits of a listing’s area, including information on schools, parks, transit, proximity to amenities and more.

How will these new tabs benefit you as a Realtor®?

These new features will be helpful to you when you’re trying to explain to a client the benefits of a particular listing in one neighbourhood versus another.
