This is to remind members that the Board office building will be closed to members and the public effective 12 noon, Thursday, December 24 through to 8 am Monday, January 4, 2021.
This holiday schedule that continues to offer core services to members, came into effect last year and is unrelated to the pandemic. As members are aware, we are closely monitoring BC’s public health directives and should business closures be mandated in advance of the holiday season, we will keep you informed. This memo is to detail Board hours and services during the upcoming holiday week based on what we know now.
From 12 noon, December 24 to 8 am, January 4, the Board’s front door will be locked; and the switchboard will be on voicemail.
However, please note staff will continue to offer essential services during these days that are not statutory holidays:
- December 24 – 8 am to 12 noon
- December 29 – 8 am to 4:30 pm
- December 30 – 8 am to 4:30 pm
- December 31 – 8 am to 12 noon
| Helpdesk | For information technology (IT) services, a FVREB Helpdesk staff member will be available at Helpdesk and 604.930.7626. |
| MLS® | The MLS® manager and two staff members will process sales for year-end. All firm sales reported to the Board prior to the noon cut-off on December 31st will be processed and included in this year’s Medallion. Any firm sales submitted to the board after the noon cut-off will be processed in January and included in next year’s. No new listings will be processed by Board staff. (Broker Load offices are able to continue to post their new listings and amendments.) No lockbox services or other MLS® services will be available. |
| Accounting | Accounting staff will not be in the office. Brokers can make payments and download invoices at any time during the holidays via the Member Portal. Please contact our Helpdesk before the holiday closure for help setting up payments. Invoices will be emailed nightly and available on the Member Portal. |
