As you may know, the Council has asked that the Boards respect its decision to be the main source for clarification, assistance, and support relating to the new Rules and forms coming into effect this Friday, June 15. Council says it is aiming for a one-day turnaround for responses to inquiries, though of course it is a busy time for Council this week and likely the next as well.
Council has suggested that email is probably the most efficient way to communicate with their professional standards advisors at this busy time, as it avoids back and forth missed calls and voicemails.
Below is a brief checklist of things you can do to help your office be prepared for a smooth transition to the new way of doing things.
- Dispose of all out-of-date forms and brochures including the Working with a REALTOR® brochure
- Review all the new forms which will be available on WEBForms® by June 15. They are available now for review on the Forms page of Council’s website
- Register for the mandatory “Rule Changes: Agency and Disclosure” course offered online at UBC
- Check Resources – Council Knowledge Base
- Contact an Advisor at Council if you continue to have questions.
