Tech Tip: How to fix Prospecting Criteria Conflicts in Saved searches with a Date Range for auto-notifications

Many members are accustomed to choosing a drop-down Date Range when creating a Saved search in Paragon®.

However, if you try to create a new Saved search or edit an existing one with a Date Range and auto-notification for a client now, you may receive an alert telling you there is a “Prospecting Criteria Conflict” (see the error message below).

Many of the Saved searches using the drop-down Date Range gave you a rolling date of 7 days, 30 days etc. This will no longer work in Paragon® for auto-notifications. That is why the Prospecting Criteria Conflict error is popping up for many users.

To avoid this error, use the calendar Begin Date (not a drop-down Date Range) for all Saved searches for auto-notification purposes. You do not need to enter an End Date (as shown below), so in a very similar way you can still get a rolling Date Range for your Saved searches with auto-notifications.
