Has this happened to you?
You’re making changes to a listing in Paragon and when you go to save, you find that the amendments you made don’t appear or are different than what you updated?
This occurs on the rare occasion when two users are making changes to the same listing, at the same time. A member may be working on a listing while the Board’s MLS® Department is also trying to edit the listing. If a second user saves their changes while the first user still has the listing open, a conflict occurs and only one of the user’s changes are saved. The result is that your listing changes are not saved as you intended.
Until now, there has been no way to know another user was working on the same listing at the same time. Paragon has introduced a ‘Record Lock’ feature that provides a warning message at the bottom of the Listing Maintenance window so that you, or the MLS® Department will know when that listing is being edited by another user.
The message will advise the second user to wait for fifteen minutes to access the listing so that the first user’s changes can be completed without interruption.
The warning notification will look like this:
If you have any questions about Record Locking, contact the Board’s Helpdesk at helpdesk@fvreb.bc.ca or 604-930-7626.
