Our Helpdesk often receives phone calls relating to passwords for Paragon. Here are a few helpful tips and suggestions from our tech team that might help you avoid potential issues or lock-outs from the system.
Q: Did you know you can change your password for Paragon at any time?
A: Simply go to the login screen and select ‘Change My Password’ and follow the on-screen prompts.
Q: Did you know Helpdesk can help you recover the answers to your 3 security questions?
A: What city were you born in? What was the colour of your first car? And what high school did you graduate from? If you forget any of your answers, the Helpdesk can help you recover them. To avoid this situation altogether, we recommend that you keep this information in a secure place in case it is needed in the future.
Q: Did you know that there are password managers available online that will assist you in saving and remembering passwords and security questions?
A: While the Board does not recommend any one program, there are a number of options such as Last Pass, Dashlane, 1 Password, and True Key that might be worth looking into for your use.
Disclaimer: Any password manager that has the ability to auto input a password into a website will not work with Paragon’s login system. It is also highly recommended that if you decide to use one of these programs, that you secure your account with a strong password there as well.
Q: Did you know the password requirements for Paragon have changed so that passwords cannot follow a given pattern?
A: Passwords must now contain at least one capital letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and must be at least six letters and one number long for a minimum of seven characters and a maximum of 15 characters.
