BCREA gathering more data on the impacts (or not) of the ban on LDA

The BC Real Estate Association (BCREA) invites BC’s Realtors to share more details of how the ban on limited dual agency (LDA) has impacted consumers, REALTORS® and brokerages through an online survey open until Wednesday, November 27 at 5 pm.

Even if you have not experienced any impacts in your business, it is important that BCREA captures your comments as well, to ensure all voices are heard.

Since the ban on LDA came into effect as part of the Rule changes on June 15, BCREA has shared concerns with the government based on feedback from some commercial Realtors and Realtors working in smaller communities. The government is now asking BCREA to provide more information and, where available, specific examples of how the ban on LDA is hurting consumers and Realtors.

By completing this survey, you can provide valuable input towards BCREA’s advocacy position. The feedback BCREA receives will be used to inform the government about the impact of the ban. While it’s unlikely the ban on LDA will be lifted, there appears to be a willingness to revisit aspects of the ban if the government feels this is needed.
