Add BCREA director to your life experiences

Have you ever wondered what it might be like to be a BCREA Board of Director and be asked to help represent the interests of all BC Realtors?

If wouldn’t be the first time a FVREB member wondered and sought to find out. As you know, several FVREB members and past presidents have served on BCREA’s Board of Directors, including their current President Michael Trites. Let’s send BCREA more Fraser Valley Realtors.

They’re looking for passionate individuals to be considered for election at their next AGM on March 24, 2020.

Candidates ideally have served on other boards in organized real estate. It would be also be helpful if the candidates have experience with governance and possess a range of business skills and backgrounds, including commercial real estate. Experience on the boards of directors of other organizations would also be considered an asset.

The workload averages out to approximately one day a month, with at least four board meetings a year and four committee meetings a year, strategic planning meetings, Government Liaison Days in Victoria and other events.

In October 2019, BCREA will host an information webinar, as well as a two-day governance training session – Governing with Intention – for interested candidates on October 28 and 29.

Application packages for interested candidates will be circulated in December 2019, with interviews by the Nominating committee taking place in January and February 2020.
