Webinar Reminder: Understanding Changes to the Property Disclosure Statement Forms

Property Disclosure Statement (PDS) forms are a cornerstone of a REALTOR®’s work. They play a critical role in reducing liability, protecting clients, and upholding professionalism. But they can also be complex, and recent legal developments have led to important updates that all REALTORS® need to understand.

In response to the Sewell v. Abadian Court of Appeal decision, BCREA has revised several Standard Forms, including updates to the PDS, the introduction of the new Property No-Disclosure Statement, and changes to the Disclosure of Material Latent Defects form. These updates are designed to reflect current legal interpretations, mitigate risk, and ensure REALTORS® are fully supported in their daily practice.

To walk members through these changes, FVREB is hosting a special webinar on Tuesday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom, featuring BCREA’s Ryan DeLuca and Shaun Jaberolansar. This session will review the new and revised forms, explain their practical implications, and give you the opportunity to ask questions directly to the experts who helped develop them.

Staying current on Standard Forms is not just about compliance, it’s about maintaining trust and professionalism in your role as a REALTOR®. Don’t miss this important session!
