Surrey RCMP recognized by FVREB at SBOT awards

The Surrey Board of Trade held their 21st Annual Surrey Police Officer of the Year Awards on Thursday, October 5 at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel. The event was emceed by Steve Darling of Sportsnet 650.

FVREB directors Brian Rock and Dharbinder Singh attended on behalf of the Board and networked with Surrey RCMP members, auxiliary officers, civilian employees, volunteers, and members of the Surrey business community at this prestigious event.

Brian Rock presented the Surrey Police Officer of the Year award (nominated by the community) to Sergeant Winston Shorey for his commitment to public safety in the Cloverdale area.

The Surrey RCMP says, “Sgt. Shorey is a constant presence at events and outreach programs in the community and his positive outlook has a lasting impact on the many businesses and residents he consults with regularly.”
