Sharing listings with clients just got a little easier

Thanks to the latest Paragon upgrade – version 5.74 – you can now send listings to your clients via text or SMS message.

Paragon’s December release also included one crucial fix that will have Chrome users breathing a sigh of relief. Here are the details!

First make sure your mobile number is in the system

You can now send a listing link to a client or colleague using Paragon’s new texting feature.  However, for this to work, you need to ensure that your profile is set up authorizing Paragon to send texts from your mobile number and you also need to ensure your contacts are in the system too.

You may have already added your mobile number to the system. To check, click on the Preferences button in the top right corner and then click on User.

On the left side, choose Mobile Account Settings and enter the Mobile Number you want to send texts from – it’s important to follow the recommended formatting with the numbers and dashes or it won’t work.

TIP:  Phone number settings don’t auto-update, so if you or your clients change cell numbers, you have to go in and update them.

For your client to receive your text, they must be in your Paragon PERSONAL CONTACT LIST including their cell number.

Texting a listing to a client

After a search, select the listing you want to share and click the Share button – the new option in your tool bar.

You can share via text or via a link through the Collaboration Centre (cutting and pasting a link and sending via email.)

After you select Text, a pop-up box will appear prompting you to select a contact or add a contact. Select who you’d like to share the listing with (up to four people at the same time).

And what they’ll receive is a message including the Agent’s name, mobile number and a hyperlink to view the listing.

NOTE: The client cannot reply directly to this text. They’ll have to create a separate email. They can, however, reply STOP to opt out of this Paragon feature. It stops the Sharing Listings via Text feature, but not all communications.

The texting feature was the big enhancement in this upgrade. As mentioned off the top…  there was also one major fix: when using Paragon within Chrome, Chrome should now stop loading white screens appearing as though it crashed or shut Paragon down.
