Save the Date for the FVREB Special General Meeting (SGM)

A Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB) will take place on November 28, 2024, from 2:00–6:00 p.m., at the Sheraton Guildford Hotel.

Our members have spoken, and we’ve listened. You’ve asked for increased member engagement, higher professional standards, and improved governance practices. In response, your Governance Committee has developed a comprehensive Governance Roadmap to guide us through these strategic priorities.

The upcoming SGM will focus on proposed bylaw changes that directly address these needs, including updating voting practices and enhancing Director qualifications—measures aimed at ensuring accountability, transparency, and fairness in our decision-making processes. These changes are essential to positioning the Board for future success, allowing us to lead with integrity in a rapidly evolving real estate landscape.

Watch a special video announcement from your Board Chair, Jeff Chadha, and Chair of the Governance Committee and Chair-Elect, Tore Jacobsen.

Additionally, watch this video with Roman St. Germain, REALTOR® and General Manager with Royal LePage, highlighting the importance of proposed bylaw changes up for consideration at the Special General Meeting on November 28. These changes focus on improving governance practices, including updating director qualifications and reviewing voting practices, to strengthen the organization’s integrity and long-term success.

In the lead-up to the SGM in November, members will be invited to attend SGM Member Engagement Sessions (SGM MES), which will all take place at the Board office.
