Manager Profile: Katherine Hardy, Member Services and Education

She’s known as the ‘walking real estate encyclopedia’ and at just 18 years old, she wrote and passed her first real estate exam, following her mother into the real estate business. Three years later, at just 21 years of age, she bought her first home. She has since been a REALTOR® and property manager, a licensed Broker in three provinces, and she has realigned a commercial Brokerage. She has opened an international auction house Brokerage and served as a B.C. Regional Director for the largest property management company in North America.

And she has no plans to slow down!

Meet Kate Hardy, Manager of FVREB’s Member Services and Education Team.

Kate joined the Board in early November, bringing with her extensive industry knowledge, passion for guiding and educating REALTORS® and an awareness of the challenges members face every day.

She says her vision for Member Services and Education in 2024 is to create efficiencies and build on current services. “Building on current services will ensure relevance through examining what we offer and the ways in which those services are delivered to our members within the changing landscape,” she said.

When she’s not writing real estate articles or courses on her own time, the mother of two and grandmother of two enjoys reading, history, architecture and exploring — be it on foot or two wheels.

When asked who she looks up to and why, Kate doesn’t think twice. “Jay Shetty, because he possesses common sense and wisdom. He inspires all those whose lives he touches.”

Kate has built connections throughout North America and beyond throughout the years. And as she grows her contact list yet again in the coming months, she hopes to continue to mirror those qualities she admires in Jay Shetty. Her next pursuit in her new role is to touch the lives of the 5,100+ FVREB members and guide them to greater heights.
