Latest news from CREA re: WEBForms® and ADT

CREA hosted two on-site WEBForms® information sessions at FVREB on October 29. Three senior CREA staff provided an update and fielded questions from Fraser Valley members regarding the end of WEBForms® Legacy and the replacement tool for REALTOR® Load (ADT).  Here is their latest news.

WEBForms® Legacy given two-day extension

CREA will be turning Legacy off on January 2, 2020, instead of December 31, 2019. This means you’ll be able to switch back and forth between the old and new platforms until January 2. After that, you will only have access to CREA WEBForms® 2019 powered by TransactionDESK.

CREA Member Support Hours to be expanded

Currently, CREA member support hours are 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST), which means they’re closing shop at 5 o’clock our time. In recognition of REALTORS® in Western Canada needing better and improved access to support, CREA is planning on extending their support hours to 10 pm EST or 7 pm our time and adding some new weekend hours as well.  They didn’t provide an exact date on when that would begin but indicated it would be coming soon.

New ADT replacement is coming soon; NO photo upload functionality

The CREA team didn’t give a specific date, but said that soon (within the next few weeks and definitely before January 2, 2020) FVREB members will have a an ADT function available within the new WEBForms® platform.

It will look different; but will work similarly to REALTOR® Load (ADT). There will be an Upload Listing icon in the top right corner of CREA WEBForms® 2019. You will click on the icon, follow the prompts and the listing will go into Paragon as a ‘For Approval’ status, just as it does now.

What will NOT be the same is the ability to upload listing photos. You will NOT be able to upload listing photos from the TransactionDESK platform. The listing agent, broker or office staff will have to upload photos via Paragon and it will have to be done after the fact.

CREA will offer online training – videos and webinars – for the new Upload function. Our in-house FVREB lead instructor, Dimpu Thandi, is already demonstrating this new function in our FVREB lab sessions (CREA’s provided her with ‘testing’ access.)

More free, hands-on training sessions are coming!

Currently (as of this publication date October 31), all our Working with CREA WEBForms® 2019 Essentials Hands-on Training Sessions are SOLD OUT, except for the afternoons of November 25 and 26.  We will be adding more sessions to the calendar ASAP. Stay tuned to our TLC Calendar!

Please, if you can’t attend an upcoming session that you are registered for, let us know to free up a seat for someone else.  We just need two full business days’ notice to cancel your spot.  If you don’t cancel and are a no-show, you will be billed $10.

A reminder that we’re limiting these free sessions to one per member – the goal is to get members through once before we can allow repeaters.

Also, you may not know that CREA has built over 180 how-to videos ranging from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to demonstrate key tasks and functions within the new platform. Head to CREA’s training portal or within the WEBForms® 2019 dashboard itself, click on the ‘How Do I’ icon in the top right – it’s the little computer screen with a question mark in the middle and it will link you to many of these short, how-to videos.
