Don’t Delay Your Mandatory Continuing Education

The BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) is encouraging Members to get your mandatory continuing education done early in the two-year licensing cycle, to ensure course availability.

BCFSA says some Members end up in stressful situations by waiting to the end of their licensing cycle and are forced to rush through course material. Legal Update and Ethics courses, for example, both take three weeks to complete and have limited capacity.

Registering early in the cycle will help ensure you secure the courses you want, at the time you want them, while getting the full benefit. Delaying enrollment can impact your ability to serve your clients if you are unable to complete the course requirements until after your license expires.

BCFSA also encourages Managing Brokers to remind their licensees to register early.
