As the consultation period draws to a close, REALTORS® still have one final opportunity to provide feedback on policy directions that could directly affect how you serve your clients.
The BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) is seeking industry input on its discussion paper, Strengthening Confidence in Real Estate Services, which explores potential changes aimed at enhancing transparency, fairness, and professionalism in BC’s real estate sector. Potential policy directions include written service agreements for buyers, disclosures in multiple-offer situations, consumer protections in competitive markets, clarity around agency and fiduciary duties, and considerations related to compensation structures.
Feedback from licensees will help inform BCFSA’s decisions on whether and how these proposals may move forward. REALTORS® are encouraged to review the discussion paper and submit comments through BCFSA’s online consultation form. The deadline to participate is January 31.
As consultation closes, REALTORS® have a final chance to provide input on policy directions that could directly affect how you serve your clients.
