On Wednesday, March 13th the Board will be implementing a number of changes to the Data Input Form as requested by members of BCNREB, CADREB, FVREB, and REBGV. In order to implement those changes, there will be required downtime for the following services:
- Starting at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12th, until 9:00 AM Wednesday, March 13th, REALTOR Load® (ADT) will be disabled.
- At 7:00 PM until approximately 11:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12th, the Listing Input Maintenance menu within Paragon Residential will be disabled for all users.
- The rest of the Paragon system will remain available as usual.
This will be the first of two updates, with the second and larger update set to take place later in the spring. The update taking place on March 13th will include several changes, including:
- Additional options in fields: Style of Home, Title to Land, Features Included, Amenities, Maintenance Fee Includes.
- An increase in the number of characters in Distance to Public/Rapid Transit and Distance to School/School Bus, along with some slight field label changes.
- Additional rooms and bathrooms have been added to the form, and the redundant field World Properties has been removed.
- There will be two new fields: Metered Water and Sewer Type.
And a few more things to note in regards to the update:
- Broker Load has been in place some time, and we have found that the process for re-using ‘EXIST’ pictures is no longer workable. The Board sends listings to REALTOR.ca every hour, where the EXIST pictures process runs only once a day, leaving new listings without an image for a significant amount of time.
- Now, the Photo Instructions selection boxes have been removed from the Data Input Form leaving only the instructions for adding a photo through Paragon.
- You will continue to receive a new listing notification with a standard reminder to add a photo. If you wish to re-use an old (no older than 1 year) photo, you will need to upload it yourself.
- TIP: Uploading your photos during the ADT listing upload process ensures that the pictures are already on the listing when activated.
Once the changes have been implemented, if you are using an existing transaction kit in CREA WEBForms®, first you will need to first ‘Duplicate’ that kit to update it to include the latest version of the Data Input Form. Then, open up the kit and check for any new fields where you may need to enter data or existing fields where you need to make changes. Save those changes and you can then upload your kit.
