REALTORS® across Metro Vancouver are coming together in a show of solidarity to form REALTORS® for Lapu-Lapu, following the tragedy that unfolded at the Lapu-Lapu festival last month in Vancouver.
This grassroots, agent-led initiative supported by the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB) and Greater Vancouver REALTORS® (GVR), transcends brokerage lines and company logos in support of Metro Vancouver’s Filipino community.
Spearheaded by passionate volunteers, REALTORS® for Lapu-Lapu will be holding a fundraising event on Saturday, May 31, in Vancouver, with the goal of raising $100,000 to support the families most affected.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, May 31, 2025
- Time: 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
- Location: Blessed Sacrament Parish, 3040 Heather St, Vancouver
- Entrance: By donation
- Goal: $100,000 supported by the Red Cross.
The FVREB Board of Directors has also approved a $10,000 donation to REALTORS® for Lapu-Lapu.
The event will include a vibrant display of Filipino culture, with traditional performances, including Tinikling and live music, as well as karaoke, face painting, and family-friendly activities. There will also be a silent auction, photo booth, and authentic Filipino food vendors.
As the community heals, the REALTORS® for Lapu-Lapu initiative is a powerful reminder of how tragedy can be met with unity, and how communities — both local and professional — can step up not just with donations, but with heart.
