Many of us have watched the devastation of this year’s fire season in B.C. unfold on TV and social media in recent weeks. Fast-moving wildfires have wiped out homes, neighbourhoods, and communities, leading to countless tragedies.
Many who have suffered unimaginable loss are our friends, our family, and our REALTOR® community.
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has launched a fundraising campaign to support the B.C. Fires Appeal, as well as the Northwest Territories Fires Appeal, where a wildfire is burning about 15 kilometers northwest of Yellowknife.
Please consider making a tax-receiptable donation using CREA’s REALTORS Care® fundraising page to support those affected both here at home and in the Northwest Territories.
With the approval of the Board of Directors, FVREB has donated $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help with ongoing relief efforts.
