Tech Tip: How to wake up your lockbox

Do you remember what it was like to be a Realtor before lockboxes? If you enjoy the convenience of your lockbox, it could be disappointing when you go to use it and it doesn’t work. Here are some tips that may help.

Your lockbox is unresponsive:

If you haven’t accessed your lockbox for some time, it may go to “sleep.” The next time you try to open it with the SentriSmart app or push the ENT key, there may be no response. The solution? All you have to do is insert a credit or debit card into the slot to “wake up” the box.

The light flashes when you insert a SentriCard:

If the message light flashes when a SentriCard is inserted in your lockbox, you likely have a low battery. Get replacement batteries from the Board. Batteries purchased from other outlets may not work as long as the approved brand, and if a lockbox stops working due to an unapproved battery installment, the warranty is void.
