Tech Tip: Computer trouble while trying to access or use Paragon?

Sometimes calling the Board’s Help Desk and waiting on the phone can be time consuming if you are trying to get your work done and meet deadlines. Here are some common computer issues you may encounter while using Paragon and possible solutions to help you get back to work faster. Before you call us, please try the following.

Computer frozen, running slow or problems getting to the Paragon login page:

  • If your computer is frozen or reacting slowly, or if you cannot connect to your network, try restarting your computer. If your computer is frozen, you may need to hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your machine, then turn it back on.

Email not working:

  • If your email is not sending or receiving, or you cannot connect to a shared folder, check with your colleagues in the office (if you’re working from your office) to see if they are experiencing the same issues. It could be a network issue in your office.
  • If you are sure you have set up automatic notifications or if you do not see emails expected to arrive in your inbox, check your spam or junk folders within your email software.
  • Also, ensure you don’t have any filters or forwarding set up to redirect your emails.

Password not working:

  • Check your Num and Caps Lock! When entering passwords with numbers or all capital letters, please ensure the Num Lock or Caps Lock is enabled on your keyboard. Entering an incorrect password several times can cause you to get locked out of Paragon/REALTOR Link®.

Internet browser issues:

  • Generally, you can use Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer to access Paragon. However, if we had to pick one, we’d recommend that you use Google Chrome because it seems to be the browser of choice for most members and it is the most popular browser. Google Chrome can be downloaded for free and is available for both PC and MAC.
  • If you are having technical issues with a browser, try clearing your browsing history to see if you have any success. Click here to learn how you can clear your browsing history on different browsers.
