Practice Tip: There are “signs” the public is annoyed with some REALTORS®

I have received complaints from neighbours, people walking or driving by, businesses, municipal bylaw officers and even city councillors; all expressing concerns that real estate signs are out of control and often not complying with municipal bylaw requirements. Each municipality has specific rules on signage. To find the specific requirements in each municipality, review the Sign bylaw posted on their website.

The District of Mission is the latest municipality to ask us to give you a heads up: They will be removing all arrow and sandwich board signs on Mission streets that do not comply with their Sign bylaw.

We have often said REALTORS® live and work in the community and that REALTORS® make good neighbours. The action of one member is a reflection on all of us, so please do your part.
