Over the years Dennis Wilson has received many complaints regarding members promoting their listings to other members via email or Touchbase, resulting in members on the receiving end becoming frustrated and upset. He has promised several REALTORS® that he would pass along his thoughts regarding this issue.
In Dennis’ perspective, these services were never intended for this purpose and therefore should not be used to promote listings. He has even heard of members telling their clients that these are marketing strategies and an additional service that only they can offer. If a member is interested in a specific type of listing, they can find it on the MLS® and contact the listing agent to arrange a showing or make an inquiry, that’s what the MLS® is for.
