Practice Tip: A REALTOR® has a right to present an offer in person

According to the Rules of Cooperation (Section 4 – Offers, 4.02 – Presentation of Offers), a REALTOR® has the right to present an offer for a property to the seller and listing agent in person, unless the seller has provided written instructions to the listing agent specifying that all offers are to come through them. If this is the case, the REALTOR® submitting the offer has the right to request a copy of the seller’s written instructions to their listing agent.
