For many members, Agent Modify has become a go-to tool when they need to make edits to listings without having to go through the MLS® department. If you’re a newer member unfamiliar with Agent Modify, it’s worth getting familiar with this time-saving function on Paragon® to update your remarks or data immediately – especially useful during weekends or off-hours when the Boards are closed.
Getting started
To use Agent Modify, you must obtain written approval from your office’s Member Link using the Agent Modify Access Authorization form located on REALTOR Link®. Once the form has been completed and signed by the Member Link, send it to the Board’s Membership department for processing. Once activated (within one business day), you will be notified via email and sent instructions on how to access the feature.
Making edits
Once you have made modifications to your listing, changes will appear live immediately on Paragon®. The Board uploads all listing changes to REALTOR.ca every 15 minutes from 9 am to 9 pm so the changes you make on Paragon® will be included in these uploads. Changes made after the 9 pm will appear the next day on REALTOR.ca.
When modifying the Remarks fields on your listings, it is important to remember the following:
- Any information that is required to be in the Realtor remarks may not be removed or abbreviated. This includes but is not limited to information such as: Subject to Probate; Subject to Court Approval; Non-registered strata property – Contact LR; PRIVACY – DO NOT SOLICIT; Property contains accommodation which is not authorized; Offers will not be reviewed until March 15, 2020 at 5 pm, etc.
- Contact information including but not limited to names, phone numbers, email addresses and web addresses may not appear in the Public or Internet Remarks of a listing.
- Sold information may not be placed in the Public or Internet remarks. Accepted Offer or Sold Firm may be noted in the Realtor remarks only, but not the sold price.
- The promotion of properties not currently on MLS® is not permitted.
