In last week’s RESPECT poll, we asked for your opinion on situations where your smartphone may interrupt your business or social life, and what you think is acceptable cellphone etiquette.
Almost 100 per cent of our poll takers concurred that when they’re with clients, or are nearby others who are working, the smartphone should be put on silent. Brief interruptions in a meeting to take an important call are acceptable, as long as it is done politely.
Most people did not agree that it’s okay to sneak texts during a PDP course or to take calls during a showing with another client.
