First, I want to say, “Kudos to all of you who are including the source of measurements for your listings in the REALTOR® remarks!”
Compliance with the new rule that came into effect March 1, 2020 has gone from low to ‘not bad.’
That said, we need to push on to a place where all listings are in compliance. This is part of data integrity and it is a critical aspect of our MLS®. A major reason our data is so powerful and valuable is because the information can be relied upon. You will hear more from me on this topic in the very near future.
Some of you may have received TouchBase communications from the MLS® department recently reminding you to quote the source of measurements on your new listings. That’s the latest tool we have harnessed to help you stay onside with the rules. If you receive a TouchBase reminder, I want to encourage you to deal with it right away. Stop whatever you are doing, log into Paragon and add the source of measurements. Don’t wait until later. You’ll forget. 😊
That’s it! Just this little reminder. Now, go get a listing so you can quote the source of measurements.
If only it was that easy, eh??
Best regards to you all.
Update: We’ve also added a reminder to our handy FVREB Listing Checklist. View it here.
