Volunteering with the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive is about more than collecting coats and blankets, it’s about bringing communities together and sharing kindness. This year’s theme, “Warmth That Lasts,” reflects that spirit, reminding us that the care shown through every donation and volunteer effort extends far beyond the items themselves.
For Fraser Valley REALTORS® Rhys Edworthy, RE/MAX Colonial Pacific Realty and Karen Weber, Royal LePage Wolstencroft, participating felt like a natural way to give back.
“I’ve always been a big fan of giving back to the community, and this is a perfect example of doing so,” said Edworthy.
“It brings our whole office together,” said Weber. “More than 25 people came to help sort, and we delivered everything as a group. It’s a wonderful team effort.”
Both say the experience has been deeply rewarding. Edworthy recalled a memorable delivery last year in Whalley, “When I arrived with the coats and blankets, a few people helped me unload. One person told me how grateful they were, it was powerful to hear directly from someone who truly benefited.”
