On October 19, 1921, “13 men engaged with realty business” resolve “that an association be formed known as the New Westminster Real Agents’ Association,” to establish standards of business practice and to elevate the industry in the eyes of the public.
We have indeed come a long way. The Fraser Valley Real Estate Board turns 100 this fall.
In that time, we’ve gone through four name changes, hopped over the river to Surrey and most importantly, grown from 13 men to 3,840 men and women who have elevated “realty business” to a profession.
One where Fraser Valley REALTORS® proudly pledge to advise and protect their clients in the buying and selling of their most important financial asset.
The need for that service and protection has never been stronger.
In the final segment of our special series, veteran broadcaster, Stu McNish, speaks with CEO Baldev Gill and outgoing President Chris Shields about how we will commemorate this important milestone.
