FVREB’s year-long Centennial celebrations kicked off over a year ago on October 19, 2021, and we are still enjoying the “afterglow” of the Centennial wrap-up event which took place at the FVREB grounds, exactly one year later on October 19, 2022.
Members, staff and guests were invited to a bench lighting and time capsule burial ceremony. FVREB’s Board of Directors, FVREB members and staff, as well as guests from the BC Real Estate Association, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, and the Surrey Board of Trade took part in the celebration sharing many special memories. For those who attended, and those who could not make it, we know you won’t disagree, these pictures tell quite a story! To commemorate its Centennial, the Board also gifted and unveiled lit benches in the communities served by our members. These beautiful and unique structures help to beautify the community, providing citizens with an inviting and attractive place to rest, while serving as an enduring reminder of the contributions of Fraser Valley REALTORS® as community builders. Benches may be found at the Abbotsford Community Library and the SFU Library, Surrey Campus.
Last Chance Dance
If you would like to take part in the very last of the Centennial celebrations, members are invited to view the bench at the City of Surrey Tree Lighting Festival on Saturday, November 19. You can drop by any time between noon and 8:00 p.m. And, on Wednesday, November 23, the final bench lighting event will take place from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at McBurney Plaza, 20518 Fraser Highway, Langley.
