Make “Monday Minute” Your New Monday Morning Habit

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then is a video worth a million? Let’s look at some statistics in 2022:

  • An estimated 3.37 billion internet users consumed video content;
  • 82% of global internet traffic came from either video streaming or video downloads;
  • 73% of consumers said they prefer to watch a short video to learn about a product or service;
  • People are watching an average of 19 hours of online video per week; and
  • People retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video, compared to 10% when reading it in the text.

As we navigate a post-COVID, hyper-digital world, the clear-cut trend is that video is the now and is here to stay. The FVREB is always looking for ways to add value for our members. And since video is one of the most powerful and effective ways to connect and engage with audiences, we will be using it more to communicate our messages and solidify the position of the Board as an industry leader.

Starting Monday, April 24, a weekly video series called “Monday Minute” will be published on our social media pages. This new offering will feature our Board CEO, Baldev Gill, who will speak on a range of compelling topics reflecting his curiosity, expertise, and passion for sharing knowledge with FVREB audiences. Special guests will make appearances from time to time. Topics may include: Networking Do’s and Don’ts, Financial Literacy, Fraser Valley Hidden Gems, and Social Causes and the Fraser Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.

Joining Baldev in the first episode will be FVREB’s newly-minted Board Chair, Narinder Bains. Catch them on LinkedIn and YouTube at 9:00 am on April 24, as they reflect on the past and look to future plans for 2023.
