Each year, the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board has the privilege of recognizing members who elevate our profession through their integrity, leadership, and commitment to community. With nominations now open for the John Armeneau Professional Award, we are once again inviting nominations for individuals whose actions and character reflect the very best of what it means to be a REALTOR® in the Fraser Valley.
To celebrate the award, we are highlighting past recipients whose work continues to strengthen our industry and the communities we serve. Their stories remind us why the award exists and why recognizing professionalism and service matters.
One such member is Bonnie Moy, whose dedication to community safety and REALTOR® professionalism exemplifies the spirit of this honour.
Bonnie explains that she has always held deep respect for those who came before her. “I continue to look to fellow recipients for their valuable guidance,” she says. “Professionally, the award fosters a culture of excellence that is recognized by the entire industry. Clients, friends and professionals (even lawyers) acknowledge the award.”
Bonnie’s community contributions are significant. In 1996, following a tragic loss in her client’s family, she helped create the FVREB Realty Watch fan out system with the RCMP. The program remains active today, using our members’ presence in the community to support missing person searches.
Bonnie has also given generously to the profession. She chaired the committee that developed the REALTOR® Value Toolkit and contributed to the “Defining the Professional REALTOR®” committee.
When advising members considering a nomination, Bonnie encourages members to consider the following questions: “How did you feel after working with this person? What can this person share with all REALTORS® to make us better? What are some of the words this person uses that inspire you?”
She adds that nominees stand out when their actions are described with clear, meaningful examples that show how they have gone beyond what is expected.
Help us honour leaders like Bonnie by nominating a deserving colleague today.
