Since joining BC Housing in April 2010, the Homeowner Protection Office (HPO) maintained a separate identity to ensure a smooth transition. Now, they’ve fully integrated into BC Housing and retired their old name and logo. It’s a new name but the services remain the same.
Websites:
If you go to the HPO website, you will be redirected to the Licensing and Consumer Services page on the new BC Housing website launched on Monday, December 12. The new, integrated website is customer-focused, easier to navigate and mobile-friendly.
If you have existing links to the following pages on the previous HPO site, you’ll need to update them as follows:
- New Homes Registry (https://lims.bchousing.org/LIMSPortal/registry/Newhomes/)
- Public Registry of Residential Builders (https://lims.bchousing.org/LIMSPortal/registry/Licence/)
New Twitter account:
The HPO’s Twitter account, for information relevant to builders and homeowners, is now @RegistrarBCH. This is different from the BC Housing corporate Twitter account @BC_Housing.
BC Housing’s Research Centre:
Visit BC Housing’s Research Centre for information on technical research and education as well as residential building statistics and trends.
