The long-awaited Centennial Celebration Kick-off is just around the corner and FVREB members, staff and the Board of Directors will gather via Zoom to kick off the special year!
While we had hoped for an in-person gathering to mark our centennial and celebrate in style, we are sensitive to the heath and safety concerns of our members and staff, above all else. With this in mind, we look forward to an in-person gathering (party time!) in summer or fall of 2022.
The virtual celebration will include a trivia game, 10 gift card draws of $100 each, and three exciting grand prizes:
Grand Prize #1
Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Gift Card
Enjoy a luxurious and comfortable stay in extraordinary destinations, an exceptional dining experience, in one of our award-winning restaurants, pampering spa treatments or exhilarating activities. Fairmont gift cards never expire and can be used at our Fairmont hotels and resorts worldwide, Fairmont Stores either on property or online and at our spas including, Willow Stream Spa locations. Fairmont Chateau Whistler, anyone?
Grand Prize #2
Multi-course Dinner for Six by Chef Lekker
Chef Lekker, whose actual name is Wouter Schipper, is originally from Holland, trained in Germany and worked as a chef in India, New Zealand and Switzerland before coming to Vancouver in 2010. Rooted in European cuisine, his culinary style has Pacific Northwest, Indonesian, Indian, Thai and North African influences. “Lekker” is a common term in Netherlands, Belgium, and South Africa which means delicious, nice, and even gorgeous.
Grand Prize #3
Case of Select Wines by Marquis
Our friends at Marquis Wine Cellars have put together a case of 12 bottles from some of the world’s most famous vineyard sites. As an example, the Cuvee de Boisfleury from Domaine Cailboudin is produced in Pouilly-Fume, which is a top-quality appellation for Sauvignon Blanc. You will enjoy the tasting adventure as you travel from France to Italy’s Montecucco region and sample some Vermentino before diving into the mixture of reds from around the world. There is also a rare sparkling wine made from Vouvray that is an outstanding match for most cuisines. Taste a Syrah-dominant Cuvee Antique made from some of the oldest vines in the region and contrast it with other delicious reds in the package. Many of these wines are exclusive to Marquis Wine Cellars and are not available anywhere else in this market.
Details on how to join the Centennial Kick-off, including the Zoom link and registration instructions, will be sent out to members in the coming days. Stay tuned for E-promo and Touchbase updates.
See you at the Centennial Kick-off!
