Earlier this week, the Real Estate Council of British Columbia issued a reminder to REALTORS® regarding reporting misconduct of other licensees, and information on how to communicate those concerns properly.
When a licensee believes that consumers are at risk from another licensee’s actions, he or she has a duty to report the conduct to their managing broker, who can bring it to the attention of the Real Estate Council. The duty to report misconduct is one of a licensee’s key responsibilities as a member of a self-regulating profession. – RECBC
