As many of you know, in February 2018, the Board began a formal search process to recruit a new Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization.
From the outset, our goal was to find an individual with the right combination of experience, education, and proficiency to navigate the organization proactively and in collaboration with our stakeholders all the while supporting and leading the Board in meeting the challenges and opportunities of our industry.
It is my great pleasure to announce to you that we have found that individual. As of November 1, 2018, Baldev Gill, will be joining the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board as its new CEO.
Mr. Gill, formerly of the Certified General Accountants of Canada (now CPA Canada) and most recently from the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of BC & Yukon (CPHR BC & YK), brings a unique background which includes strategy, finance, operations, and human resources to our organization.
As CEO, Mr. Gill will work in tandem with the Board of Directors to continue to improve the services available to you and further elevate the FVREB’s position within organized real estate both provincially and nationally.
These are ever-changing times for our industry. Never has it been more crucial for our Board to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients, while prioritizing our needs as professionals. With Mr. Gill, we have the right person in place to support this type of growth.

This is an exciting time for our Board, and one that I know will move us closer towards becoming a stronger, more effective organization.
