Stay Passionate — But Keep it Professional

It was great to see such strong member turnout at the October 3 Town Hall. Your energy, engagement, and passion for the future of our Board truly stood out. The thoughtful discussions and diverse viewpoints shared that day showed how deeply REALTORS® care about the direction of our profession and the strength of our organization.

While this passion is one our defining traits as a Board, it’s important to remember to balance it with professionalism. Strong opinions and spirited debate are healthy and necessary, but they must always be expressed with respect, civility, and consideration for others. Professionalism means keeping our tone constructive, avoiding personal attacks, and remembering that every member, whether they agree with us or not, deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect.

As REALTORS®, we take pride in being part of a profession built on integrity and collaboration. The way we conduct ourselves, with kindness, patience, and a willingness to listen, reflects not only on us as individuals but on our industry as a whole. By keeping discussions respectful and seeking common ground, we strengthen our community and model the very professionalism that clients and the public expect from us.

We look forward to seeing the same enthusiasm at the next Town Hall on Thursday, October 30.
