| It’s hard to believe but roughly 550 wildfires are currently burning across BC right now. The entire province is in a state of emergency. More than 20,000 of our fellow Canadians are facing an order to evacuate their homes and communities or an alert advising them that they need to be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.
The REALTOR® community has shown, time and time again, that when disasters strike, we are keen to come together and raise funds for the victims. Unfortunately, the time has come again when our help is needed. In solidarity with BCREA and local boards across the province, CREA is asking members of the REALTOR® community to consider giving what they can in support of the Canadian Red Cross’ BC Fires Appeal. Donations will be used for immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency and preparedness for future events in BC and the Yukon, including consequential events related to the fires. By donating, you’ll also help show that REALTORS® are here to help those affected in their time of need. The more money we raise together, the stronger that message will be.
