Blanket Drive 2018: Just one bag can mean a lot to someone with very little

It’s time to clean your closets out – the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive starts in two weeks!

Over 50 Fraser Valley REALTORS® are volunteering this year for the 24th annual REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive.

They will be connecting with over 40 local brokerages acting as drop-off locations to provide promotional materials and confirm they will be picking up donations from their offices Tuesday, November 13 to Tuesday, November 20.

As always, your support – through donations or just by spreading the word – is always appreciated. The more people who know about the Drive, the more donations we receive and the more people we help.

We’re looking for:

  • gently used or new blankets or sleeping bags
  • hoodies, coats and other warm clothing
  • hats, gloves, scarves
  • new socks and underwear
  • plastic ponchos or other waterproof clothing

Pick up an official Blanket Drive bag from one of the drop-off locations and fill it up or use a garbage bag. It’s what’s inside that counts! The donations will be sorted and distributed to 25 local charities in each Fraser Valley community.

“The annual REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive is making a difference in the lives of people who need kindness and care the most! With your generous donations, NightShift shares unconditional love, hope and purpose with people suffering on the street with some of life’s most difficult situations – homelessness, poverty, addiction, and mental illness. Your support is truly heart-warming and life-changing. Thank you!” Darren Dyck, Manager, Community Engagement/Facilities.
